THIS IS MY MUCH LOVED DAIMLER COUPE. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A 30 YEAR OLD CAR AND IT ISN'T PERFECT, I STRONGLY RECOMEND YOU VEIW BEFORE BIDDING. THERE IS SOME RUST AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FRONT SCREEN (A VERY COMMON FAULT) AND A FEW BUBBLES UNDER THE PAINT BUT NOT ENOUGH TO DETRACT FROM THE OVERALL GOOD LOOKS. IT DRIVES REALLY NICE AND STRAIGHT WITH DIRECT STEERING AND POWERFULL BRAKES. THE ENGINE DOES SMOKE A BIT BUT HOLDS GOOD OIL PRESSURE AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY RELIABLE , STARTS FIRST TIME ALTHOUGH IT RUNS A BIT ROUGH UNTIL ITS WARMED, THE HEATER THEN WORKS GREAT, THIS IS AN AIR CONDITIONED FROM NEW CAR BUT CURRENTLY THE COMPRESSOR IS SIEZED THERE WAS EVEN GAS IN IT LAST TIME IT WAS CHECKED (THIS SUMMER). I ONLY RUN IT ON THE OFFSIDE FUEL TANK AS THE GAUGE WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO. AS YOU CAN SEE THE INTERIOR IS REALLY NICE WITH GREAT RED LEATHER AND A NEW HEADLINNING ALTHOUGH THE DASH COULD DO WITH NEW WOOD.THE WHITEWALL TYRES ARE NEW THE EXHAUST IS SOUND IT
Also: Rost an bekannten Stellen, Motor bläut, Klima ohne Funktion, Vergaser wahrscheinlich überholungsbedürftig, ein Tank / Pumpe def. etc.
Auf der Habenseite: Scheint sehr gepflegt (äusserlich), Daimler Ausführung usw.
Wenn die Basis stimmt (Fachmann mitnehmen), kann der Aufwand überschaubar bleiben, but nevertheless wird das gute Stück gerade in der Anfangszeit wie ein schwarzes Loch funktionieren: Man kann die Tausender reinschaufeln, aber man sieht keinen Effekt ...
