Muss ich nachschauen, ob auf der anderen Seite eine Sicherung durchgebrannt ist.
Habe das Handbuch nicht gerade zurhand, denke aber, dass ich die gleiche
Idee hatte, mit dem Vertauschen. Dann müsste die Beschreibung ja einfach
verkehrt sein, und ich glaube so ist es nicht...
In einem Englischen Forum habe ich noch folgendes gefunden:
Several posters have asked about fixing their cigar lighter, and
several of us, myself included, have suggested finding one of the
two fuses in the right side kickboard. That is where the fuses are
on my '98 XJR and my '96 XJ6.
However, an errant dime found it's way into the cigar lighter
socket on my wife's MY02 XJ8 and lo and behold , I could not find a
blown fuse in that fuse panel. While I was cussing and bemoaning
not being near my computer with the manuals, my wife looked up fuse
locations in the owners manual (imagine that as a source of
information!) and informed me thayt F5 in the trunk was the cigar
lighter fuse. It was. Funny guys, those Jag engineeers.
