@Sally (Teil 2)
Dear Jag-enthusiasts of Jag World Monthly!
First I want to let you know, that I am following your mags since a good
while and I am always looking forward to the next issue (I also ordered
older issues of your classic magazines, because I own a XJ6 I and a MK II
340)
2.) I want to inform you that there are serious plans for a big
1-week-meeting at the georgeous island of ALBARELLA in Italy (near Venezia) from september 18 th/19th 2004.
The organiser is JÖRG BARTZ (
jbartz@freenet.de), a German Jag-club-member and he is in the middle of setting up the event at the moment. I will be the link to English and American Jag-drivers and the Austrian "gang”.
So far clubs from Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Austria announced their participating and I made contact to the English JEC a couple of days ago as well.
If this meeting, where Jags from all over Europe (and maybe America) are to be expected, is of interest for JAGUAR WORLD MONTHLY it would be a great pleasure for us to have you on board. (by the way ... thanks for the great article of your Austrian trip in September!!) As you have a big community of readers, it would be a honour to get you as a media-partner!
The schedule so far is: sept 19th last meeting point (also for individual
travellers) in the North-Italian Dolomites (South-Tyrol = N-Italy),
overnight in the Dolomites (this is organized by a local Italian Jag-driver,
who owns a hotel there and will reservate other hotels in the valley as
well) and from there the last 300km to the beautiful island of ALBARELLA
(see the weblink:
http://www.insel-albarella.com/index.htm)
Albarella is NOT a public island, although there are lots of great flats,
chalets and houses with own pools to rent for the guests. (see the weblink:
http://www.albacasa.com/index.php)
The plans are to stay for a week and do some rallyes and trips together,
barbecues in the evening, concours dèlegance and lots more. (it`s just a few miles to VENEZIA - and for individual trips FIRENZE and the TOSKANA are just 200 miles away!) Albarella offers golf (18 holes), sailing, windsurfing and lots of other activitys.
So far the wellknown German magazine "Auto Motor & Sport” is interested as well as a number of Jag-retailers.
Let me know what you think
Kind regards
